CIXTRA: culture and leisure data from one source.
What CIXTRA does for you.
What is happening in a region is spread across thousands of details: concerts and exhibitions, but also museums, pools, hiking trails, markets, cinemas, opening hours, artists and clubs. This information sits scattered across websites, PDFs, printed programmes, emails and databases, each in a different format.
Cities, apps, media, hotels and tourism need this data to show people what suits them. So far everyone collects it themselves and keeps it current by hand. And in the end it is still one long list, the same for everyone.
CIXTRA turns it into a living data foundation. It collects culture and leisure data automatically, checks and links it, and rates every offer: who it suits, what mood it has, how accessible it is. That lets smart cities, apps and brands show every person the right thing, have texts written automatically, and bring users back.
For media and publishers
An automatic culture desk writes tips and previews. The editors check and approve.
For cities and tourism
The region's whole offer, beyond the hotspots, with figures on what is missing.
For smart cities and apps
Personal recommendations instead of lists. Everyone sees what suits them, and opens the app again.
For hotels and brands
Guests and customers get tips that suit them. That builds loyalty and brings them back.
For rail, bus and stations
Travellers see on screens and in the app what is happening at their destination right now.
For platforms and AI providers
Verified, current dates with sources, so apps and AI assistants don't make things up.
Three listings, one entry.
The same event appears on the venue's website, in the printed programme and at a partner, each time a little different. CIXTRA spots that, reconciles it and turns it into one clean entry. For you that means no typing, no duplicates and no outdated details.

Every offer has a character.
CIXTRA rates every offer on more than 40 characteristics: who it suits, what mood it has, whether it is indoors or outdoors and how accessible it is. That is the basis for everything that should feel personal.

The right thing for everyone.
With these characteristics, apps, hotels and cities show each person what really suits them, instead of one long list for all. People who get fitting tips stay in the app and come back.

Texts that write themselves.
The data turns into finished texts: weekend tips, previews, newsletter pieces and social media posts, in up to ten languages. Your editors read, change and approve. So a culture section appears every week without anyone typing up dates.
The weekend in Salzburg
On Friday the Krampus run moves through the town centre, a spectacle for the whole family. If you prefer it quieter, Saturday brings an intimate jazz evening at the Kellerbühne. And from Thursday the Domplatz smells of punch again: the Christmas market opens.
Automatically in ten languages.
Guests from Vienna, Milan or Tokyo read the same programme in their own language. Translation is automatic; nobody has to translate texts by hand.

Change it once, right everywhere.
When a start time moves, the change is detected, checked and then applied everywhere at once: in the app, on the website, on the hotel screen and in the next newsletter. You change nothing twice and forget nothing.

See what is missing.
For cities and regions: where a lot is happening, where little is, and what is missing. A municipality sees, for example, that there is hardly anything for families at weekends.
How we start.
- 1
Get to know
In a call we clarify which region you want to cover, which events matter and where the calendar should appear.
- 2
Connect
We take what you already have: your lists, websites, partners and printed programmes. Plus the sources CIXTRA already knows in your region.
- 3
Go live
You get a first calendar, an API or content for a screen. Then we expand step by step.
Questions and answers.
Where does the data come from?
From organisers' websites, printed programmes and PDFs, partners such as tourism boards, and your own system. CIXTRA reads these sources continuously, so new dates and changes arrive automatically.
Are we allowed to use the data?
Yes. CIXTRA stores the facts about an event, such as title, date, venue and price, and writes its own descriptions. We only use other people's texts and images when the rights are cleared.
How current is it?
The sources are re-read continuously. If a date moves or is cancelled, CIXTRA notices and applies the change after a check, without anyone entering it by hand.
Do we have to rebuild our website?
No. The calendar can be embedded with a few lines. Or your developers fetch the data directly through the API.
Can we edit entries ourselves?
Yes. You can describe any entry in your own words or fix mistakes. Your changes stay, even when the source is updated later.
What does CIXTRA cost?
The price depends on the region you cover and where the data should appear. After the first call you get a concrete offer. A trial over a few months is possible.
